Emily is a Family Nurse Practitioner at Prisma Community Care. She brings over a decade of experience in patient care across both acute care and outpatient settings. Her commitment to fostering trusting relationships with patients aligns perfectly with our mission to provide compassionate and comprehensive care.
Emily earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice and Bachelor of Science in Nursing degrees from Arizona State University and received her Family Nurse Practitioner certificate in 2021. Most recently, she served as a Nurse Practitioner at Southwellness, as the Medical Director of their community health division, ProtectAZ Health. At ProtectAZ Health, Emily ran the health clinic at the International Rescue Committee's Welcome Center, an emergency shelter for asylum seekers. As Medical Director, Emily coordinated care delivery, managed medical personnel, and optimized resources to meet the urgent needs of vulnerable populations. This experience highlights her dedication to addressing the unique healthcare needs of vulnerable communities. She also has an extensive background in nursing with Banner Health, working on a progressive care unit with heart failure patients.
In her free time, Emily loves spending quality time with her husband, four kids, and her furry companions—two dogs and a cat. Family is a big part of life, and Emily always looks forward to her family’s tradition of weekly family dinners, where everyone comes together. She is also passionate about giving back to the community, regularly engaging in activism and volunteering for causes that help create a safer, better world for everyone.
