Sydney earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Arizona State University and her Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Prescott College, where she completed an emphasis in Human Sexuality. Her graduate training focused on relational health, identity development, trauma informed care, and culturally responsive counseling.

She has passed the NCE and CPCE exams, holds her National Certified Counselor (NCC) credential, and has applied for her Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC) in Arizona. Her clinical experience includes providing individual, family, and group therapy in community mental health and nonprofit settings, with a strong focus on 2SLGBTQIA+ affirming care, HIV/AIDS related mental health support, and trauma informed treatment.

Sydney’s professional interests center on gender affirming, sex positive, and culturally responsive mental health care. She has experience working with 2SLGBTQIA+ clients, individuals living with HIV/AIDS, survivors of trauma, and clients navigating identity, relationships, and life transitions.

Through her work at Prisma Community Care and other community based agencies, Sydney provides comprehensive assessments, collaborative treatment planning, crisis intervention, and ongoing psychotherapy. She is especially passionate about supporting clients with concerns related to sexuality, attachment, internal family systems, anxiety, depression, PTSD, ADHD, mood and personality disorders, relationship issues, self-esteem, and minority stress.

She approaches care through a trauma informed and strengths based lens, honoring each client’s lived experience, culture, and autonomy while creating safety, empowerment, and authenticity in the therapeutic space.
