The Prisma Community Care is proud to offer the Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP). Our IOP is designed to empower adolescents and adults seeking mental health and substance use treatment on their journey to wellness.
This 8-week program creates a safe and clinically structured space for LGBTQIA+ individuals who are struggling with substance use or mental health or have a co-occurring diagnosis. Topics for substance use include common challenges experienced within the community.

Group Information
Age Group: Adolescents ages 13-17; Adults ages 18+
The adult group sessions meet in person on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 11 AM to 2 PM. The adolescent group sessions meet virtually on Monday from 5 PM to 7 PM and in person on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 5 PM to 7 PM.
The first adult group sessions will begin on April 15 and the first adolescent group sessions will begin on April 29.
Once a new group date is available, we will provide more information.
What are the goals of an IOP?
- Learning early-stage relapse management and coping strategies.
- Ensuring that the person/group members have access to psychosocial support.
- Addressing individual symptoms and needs.
- Learning skills needed to prevent relapse and live a drug-free life.

IOP stands for “intensive outpatient program.” IOPs are a type of mental health and substance use treatment.
Prisma Community Care accepts most major commercial health insurance. ACCCHS, Medicare/Medicaid are also accepted. If you are not sure if your insurance will cover this service, please call our friendly front desk staff at 602-307-5330.
This is an 8-week program. The length of treatment after completing IOP depends on the person’s recovery process and needs. Group members will learn a variety of skills that will be developed from topics such as harm reduction, contingency management, and early prevention and substance use education.
Prisma Community Care’s IOP cares about your confidentiality. During your first group session you will receive consent to treat document for the group. You have the right to confidentiality. We will not disclose any information outside of the Prisma Community Care without your written consent. Clinical records will be maintained in a secure, locked environment. Electronic records are maintained with a secure, dual firewall system called EcW. Please be advised that state law requires that confidentiality be broken in certain emergency situations, such as to protect you or someone else from imminent danger, to report child or elder abuse, or if mandated by a court.
Life happens and we understand that there may be extenuating obligations that may prevent from attending group session. Please contact the group facilitator via phone or email at least 4 hours before the group begins.
